Cracow is one of the oldest cities in Poland, with a great history and many impressive attractions.
Just one hour drive from this magnificent town...
... we have found a farm (1,4 hectares) in Zbydniow.
In 2012, we started step by step to carry out our Eco-Culture-Project.
Zbydniow is a small village,
very close to Tatra high mountains.
In this peaceful place you will find yourself surrounded by a lovely landscape with amazing nature.
The first step was building an eco-house made of wood, straw and clay.
Starting with the basement - even in the mud ...
This however occurred to be a very difficult and tough task.
Nevertheless, without the help of our fantastic team of reliable Polish workers, nothing could be done…
This isn't a typical house - so we searched for good consultants in Germany and Poland.
After a lot of difficulties, changing of building companies ...
... we rolled up our sleeves and sparing no effort fully got involved
even in the hardest works...
... we strongly believed in our vision, and found the strength to overcome all the problems !
This construction was made of an enormous power of handcraft !
The house walls for example -
are just made of straw and clay...
We started to increase our knowledge in construction work and in time we became experts of housebuilding and - together with our engineer -
real leaders of our own project !
In 2016 we celebrated finally our first achievement -
the creation of our loving eco house !
In 2017 we started the next stage of works -
we installed eco-windows (three slices glass) inside the house ...
...and we put the clay on the outside walls of the building ...
To finalize the outside works we hired another company who hammered wood boards (even the roof insulation is made from ecologic products) onto the outside structure of the house.
In 2018 we started the works inside the house, and we are mostly proud of our round walls which were extremally hard to build -
but they give the whole place more natural atmosphere.
Our workers discovered a water source close to the house.
The water is not only good for washing, but it´s drinkable too.
Another satisfying achievement is our improvised eco-shower
which we have used about some years as our own single shower ...
Now you have the opportunity to refresh yourself in the bosom of nature,
but watch out for the wildlife to come and join you😊
Eventually, our hard work paid off and we are very happy looking at the results of our team work.
Finally, after all this years we can really enjoy our work - and ...
... admire the beauty of the nature all around us...
... and the experience of beautiful sunsets .
When we started realizing our vision...
we felt really happy but as well limited and even really crazy to start up
this eco-culture-project.
But together with the support of our family and friends
we did not give up...
